About Me.

As a parent of a child with ADHD and over 20 years experience in the field, I understand the parent’s perspective and the district’s obligations.

I have a Master’s in Special Education, authorization in Autism and Orthopedic Impairment, and I’m Board Certificated in Advocacy Special Education. In addition, I have taught special education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. My experience includes mild/moderate and moderate/severe populations.

I’m trained in reading programs (Leveled Literacy, Sonday), Assessment tools (WIAT-III, WIAT-4, Woodcock Johnson-III), and continue my knowledge by attending professional development opportunities on Dyslexia, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Legal Conferences, Restorative Justice, Cultural Bias, Universal Design and Equity to name a few.
